Summer Fête Poster Competition Winners

On Friday 7th May the artist Anthony Frost visited the Morrab Library to choose a design, from the art work of local year 2 pupils, which would become the 2010 Summer Fête poster.
Mary Ellery, from the Friends of Morrab Gardens & Pengarth, had organised the competition and was there on the day to assist.

The design chosen for the poster was submitted by Joseph Hunter, age 7 years from Alverton School.

The runner up was Wiktor Waniczek, age 7 years from St. Mary's RC School.

The highly commended design was by Beau Hosking, age 6 years from St. Mary's C of E School.
A big thank you to all the children who entered the competition and congratulations to the three chosen by Anthony Frost.
Wednesday 12th May

The competition to design a Summer Fête poster prize presentation took place on Wednesday 12th May.
3 works were chosen from the many entries submitted by local school pupils.
Anthony Frost returned to present a gift to the winner Joseph Hunter, runner up Wiktor Waniczek and highly commended entrant Beau Hosking.
The event was recorded by the Cornishman with a photoshoot in Morrab Gardens. Afterwards the celebrations continued in Morrab library with tea, juice and cakes for all.
